We want to hear from you! As part of energy reforms in Nova Scotia, we’re rolling out new Cost Rules that will impact how non-profit groups can apply to recover costs for participating in the Board’s regulatory processes. Simply put, the rules establish new guidelines for the pre-approval of costs to non-profits who engage in matters of public interest.

The rules have been drafted to replace the current Cost Rules of the Utility and Review Board, with updates that reflect our upcoming transition to two Boards; the Nova Scotia Energy Board and the Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board.

We’re eager to hear your thoughts on these changes! Please take a moment to review the draft rules and share your comments, feedback, or suggestions with us. The deadline to submit feedback is Thursday, March 20.
